Program Application

All social work majors should submit an application to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The application is set up as an interactive pdf form. Once you have filled in the required application information, follow the submission instructions to remit your documents. Please submit your completed application to the Department of Social Work on October 21, 2024 by 11:59 PM CST.

Use the link above to download the BSW program application. The application is a fillable PDF. Follow the below listed steps to submit your application to the department:

• Electronic Submission
  • Complete the application and personal statement as a PDF. Save all documents as one file. Email the completed file to: swdept@longhai66.com. 

Program Eligibility

To apply for admission to the BSW program must:

• Declare Social Work as your academic major
• Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0
• Have completed at least two (2) of the following Social Work courses: 
• SW 2110 - Introduction to Social Work
• SW 3410 - Values, Ethics & Diversity
• SW 3420 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment

Students who have already completed or are currently enrolled in SW 3400 - Generalist Social Work Practice must apply to the BSW program prior to taking upper level courses.
